Chez Tintin et Milou was founded in 1989 by the Kamloops Francophone Association. It was created in response to a growing need for children in Kamloops to be exposed to the French language and culture in a daycare environment.
In 1991, to meet the needs of the growing population in Kamloops, the AFK purchased a house at 348 Fortune Drive in Kamloops. After major renovation works to expand the center, the daycare was inaugurated in 1992.
At Chez Tintin et Milou, French is introduced to the children in a positive and enriched environment that is tailored to their needs, abilities, and knowledge of French. Every attempt is made to promote an appreciation of the French language and a feeling of inclusion in French culture.
